Seven Ravens is a puppet-performance based on the traditional Central-European fairy-tale. It was inspired by Slovak, Polish and Austrian versions of the tale - but most prominently its Czech and German counterparts (penned by the Grimm brothers). The story explores language as a powerful tool. In order to break an evil curse, the play’s protagonist Bogdanka is bound to prolonged silence. The play toys with a concept of exploring sounds of objects and musical instruments in order to mimic or replace the spoken language.
