The art of theatre, as a form of entertainment, is well established, even in its miniature form. It follows the same basic principle: the theatre consists from two separate spaces – the stage (a space for performers) and the audience (a space for spectators).
The workshop will present several simple yet attractive systems, ranging from a drawing-based interactive play to usage of 3D models and miniature paper-theater. Each method will be explained in full-detail, from the construction itself to the possible application in home or in class, followed by a practical demonstration.
The workshop will provide participants with several types of semi-finished samples that will provide them with an insight into the principles of stage production. Experience from making and utilizing these stage miniatures can be used in professional work with children or, simply, in quality home entertainment. The principles taught in this workshop are equally applicable in full stage production when conditions of limited space hinder a bulky theatrical performance.
